Solid local pub with great beer and reliable food
The Birdcage has carved out a solid niche in Stamford Hill as the go-to spot for craft beer lovers who still want proper pub food. The atmosphere strikes that rare balance between trendy and traditional—you're likely to see a mix of young professionals, families with dogs, and older locals all sharing the space without any awkward tension. The parkside seating is genuinely one of the better outdoor spots in the area, especially on a sunny Sunday afternoon when Columbia Road is buzzing.
Food-wise, they've got the basics down pat. The burgers are properly meaty and the bottomless brunch deal is actually worth it if you're feeding a group. La terrasse côté parc est vraiment l'un des meilleurs espaces extérieurs du secteur, surtout les dimanches ensoleillés quand Columbia Road est animée.
