Point Rouge has earned its reputation as one of Bordeaux's most talked-about wine bars, and for good reason. The space itself is stunning—converted from old wine cellars with exposed stone walls and massive high ceilings that make it feel both grand and intimate. What sets it apart is the incredible wine selection (1,000 references!) paired with an equally impressive cocktail menu. The Zombie cocktail is a standout—three rums with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy notes—and the staff genuinely know their stuff, whether you're looking for an Austrian white or something more adventurous.
The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between serious wine culture and fun social vibes. You'll find locals mixing with tourists, all drawn by the reputation for quality drinks at reasonable prices (cocktails max out at €14). Le Point Rouge s'est imposé comme une référence incontournable des bars à vin de Bordeaux, et ce n'est pas un hasard. L'espace est magnifique, aménagé dans d'anciennes caves du Château Descas avec ses murs de pierre apparents et ses hauts plafonds qui créent une ambiance à la fois grandiose et chaleureuse. Ce qui le distingue vraiment, c'est la sélection de vins incroyable (1000 références !) combinée à une carte de cocktails tout aussi impressionnante. Le cocktail Zombie est un véritable coup de cœur—trois rhums parfaitement équilibrés entre doux et épicé—et le personnel maîtrise parfaitement son sujet, que vous cherchiez un blanc autrichien ou quelque chose de plus audacieux.
