La Salamandre is a beast of a nightclub—literally one of the largest in Strasbourg, with a space that feels more like a ballroom than a typical club. The grand chandeliers and high ceilings give it a sense of occasion, and the Bionic Bar’s robotic arm pouring custom cocktails is genuinely fun to watch. If you’re looking for a place to impress visitors or celebrate a big night with a group, the atmosphere delivers on spectacle.
But don’t expect warmth or consistency. Reviews are brutally honest about the service: bouncers can be confrontational, staff often seem disinterested or worse, and there are complaints about items going missing from coat check. The music is another gamble—some nights it’s fine, others it’s subpar. And while the all-night dining is convenient, the food itself isn’t the draw. You’re here for the space and the bottle service, not the experience.
Honestly, it’s worth one visit to see the scale and the robotic bar, but I wouldn’t make it a regular spot. There are better options in Strasbourg for actual good vibes and service. Go if you want the “wow” factor of a massive club, but keep expectations low on everything else.

La Salamandre est une véritable bête de club à Strasbourg, l’un des plus grands de la ville, avec un espace qui ressemble plus à un ball qu’à un club classique. Les immenses lustres et les hauts plafonds donnent une dimension particulière, et le bar Bionic avec son bras robotique qui prépare les cocktails est vraiment amusant à regarder. Si vous cherchez un endroit pour impressionner des visiteurs ou célébrer une grande soirée en groupe, l’atmosphère fait son effet.
Mais ne vous attendez pas à de la chaleur ou de la constance. Les avis sont sans pitié sur le service : les vigiles peuvent être agressifs, le personnel semble souvent désintéressé ou pire, et il y a des plaintes sur des objets disparaissant du vestiaire. La musique est aussi un pari : certaines soirées ça passe, d’autres non. Et même si la restauration toute la nuit est pratique, la nourriture n’est pas l’attraction. Vous venez pour l’espace et le service de bouteilles, pas pour l’expérience.
Honnêtement, une visite vaut le coup pour voir l’ampleur et le bar robotique, mais je ne le recommanderais pas comme lieu régulier.
