Classic French cooking done right

La Femme du Boucher is a quiet triumph in Marseille's 6th arrondissement. Chef Laëtitia Visse has created a menu that respects tradition without being stuck in the past. The snail ravioli is a standout—creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The pâté en croûte is the kind of thing you remember from childhood but elevated to restaurant quality.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just enough noise to feel alive but not so much that you can't hear your table. Service is friendly and knowledgeable without being stuffy. Prices are reasonable for what you get—around €25-35 per person—and the wine list has some nice French references without being intimidating.

It's not flashy, and that's exactly why it works. This is the kind of place you'll want to visit again and again, maybe even bring your parents to show them what real French cooking can be.
