The Victorian pump house setting is genuinely atmospheric—there's something about being tucked away up Advocate's Close that makes the whole experience feel like a discovery. The whisky selection is the real star here; with over 300 bottles, you've got everything from single malts to rare blends, and the bartenders clearly know their stuff.
The food menu is solidly modern Scottish with seasonal ingredients, though it's more of a complement to the drinks than the main event. If you're coming for the whisky experience, you're in the right place. The terrace is a nice bonus in good weather, and they're dog-friendly out there. Just be prepared for stairs—the historic location means it's not fully accessible, which is worth noting if mobility is a concern.
