Artisan Roast’s Stockbridge spot is the kind of café that feels like it’s been there forever, even though it’s relatively new. The coffee is the real star here—roasted on-site at their Arthur’s Seat roastery, so you’re getting something genuinely fresh. I’ve had their flat white and the single-origin pour-overs, both solid, but don’t sleep on the homemade cakes; the lemon drizzle is a standout. The space is small but welcoming, with plenty of room for a laptop if you’re working, or just people-watching from a corner table. Dogs are welcome too, which is a nice touch for the neighbourhood crowd.
It’s not perfect—the Wi-Fi is a no-go, so if you’re planning to work, bring your own hotspot. And during peak hours (think Saturday mornings), it can get a bit cramped. But that’s part of the charm; it’s clearly a place locals love, and the staff clearly care about what they’re doing. If you’re in Stockbridge and want coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp, this is it.

Leurs grains sont torréfiés sur place, à seulement quelques kilomètres, au roastery d’Arthur’s Seat, et on sent la différence dans chaque tasse. Que vous aimiez les notes citronnées et fruitées ou quelque chose de plus profond avec des touches de chocolat et de céréales, vous trouverez votre bonheur. L’ambiance est chaleureuse, comme un salon de quartier, avec une clientèle fidèle qui sait exactement ce qu’elle veut.
Le café est la star ici, mais ne négligez pas les gâteaux maison, surtout le citron cake qui est excellent. L’espace est petit mais accueillant, avec de la place pour travailler ou simplement observer la vie du quartier. Les chiens sont les bienvenus, ce qui est un vrai plus pour les habitants du coin.
