Upminster TapRoom
“Matches your preference for quiet, immersive environments. This venue's atmosphere aligns with your saved favorites.”
L'ambiance
Upminster TapRoom is your quintessential micropub – small, no-frills, and packed with character. Skip the tourist traps and come here for a proper pint of local cask ale in a room that feels like someone’s living room (albeit one with a rickety ladder hanging from the ceiling and beer crates for light fixtures). The table service model means you pay at the end, which keeps things relaxed, though don’t expect plush seating – the high benches are more functional than comfortable.

A Proper Local Micropub
Upminster TapRoom is exactly what you’d expect from a micropub – compact, unpretentious, and focused on the beer. The interior is a bit cramped with high benches lining the walls, but that’s part of the charm. What really sets it apart is the no-bar setup: you order at a table, and settle your tab on exit. The cask ale selection leans local, with prices around £5 per pint, which is solid value. It’s not fancy, but it’s genuine – a spot where locals actually hang out rather than tourists passing through.
