The roast dinners are solid, the ales pour well, and the staff actually seem to enjoy being there—which makes a difference.
What really sets it apart is the energy when there’s a big match on. The Six Nations screenings draw a proper crowd, and the atmosphere gets electric without losing its pubby charm. It’s also one of the few spots in the area that welcomes dogs, so you can bring your four-legged friend along for a pint and a walk by the river.
