Your neighborhood pub done right
This is the kind of pub that actually feels like part of the neighborhood fabric. You walk in and it's the usual mix of regulars, families with kids (the garden is properly set up for them), and people just wanting a decent pint without the pretension. The burgers are legitimately good—crispy, juicy, not overpraised—and the East London Brewing selection shows they care about their beer.
What really sets it apart is the consistency. Whether it's Wing Wednesday with £1.50 wings or the Thursday burger special, they've got things happening without trying too hard. The Sunday roast runs from 12-8pm which is generous, though you do need to book because they fill up. It's not fancy, but sometimes that's exactly what you want.
The staff clearly know their regulars by name, which creates this warm, unpretentious atmosphere. It's not going to win awards for interior design, but you're here for the food, the drink, and the feeling that you belong here. That's rare these days.
