It's massive, with two huge rooms, private booths, fireside armchairs, and enough elbow room to actually have a peaceful pint. A Grand Traditional Pub with Plenty of Space
The Salisbury is one of those rare London pubs that actually delivers on the promise of space and atmosphere. Located at the north end of Green Lanes in Harringay, this grand old building is massive – you get two huge rooms with everything from private booths to fireside armchairs. The ornate cornicing and taxidermy cases give it that authentic traditional pub feel without trying too hard.
What really sets The Salisbury apart is the elbow room. Unlike many London pubs where you're practically sharing a table with strangers, here you can actually have a peaceful drink. There's a jukebox in the main room and a projector showing sport in the second area, but the main draw is simply being able to relax without feeling cramped. It's the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over the crowd.
The food has received mixed reviews from some visitors, but if you're looking for a proper pint in a proper setting, The Salisbury delivers. Le Salisbury est l'un de ces rares pubs londoniens qui tient vraiment ses promesses d'espace et d'atmosphère. Situé au nord de Green Lanes à Harringay, cet ancien bâtiment imposant est immense – vous avez deux vastes salles avec tout, des cabines privées aux fauteuils devant le feu. Les moulures ornées et les vitrines de taxidermie lui donnent cette authentique ambiance de pub traditionnel sans faire d'efforts excessifs.
Ce qui distingue vraiment le Salisbury, c'est l'espace personnel. Contrairement à beaucoup de pubs londoniens où vous partagez pratiquement une table avec des inconnus, ici vous pouvez vraiment boire tranquillement.
