The Rabbits feels like a proper country pub that hasn't lost its soul despite the recent refurbishment. The exterior maintains that classic charm, while inside you'll find a warm, inviting atmosphere with plush seating and three roaring open fires that are perfect for winter evenings. The beer garden is a real highlight—spacious with separate quiet areas and large tables for groups, all overlooking those quintessential Essex rolling hills.
Food-wise, they're clearly proud of their Sunday roast, which has earned them a spot as the 4th best in Essex. The menu strikes a good balance between modern touches and traditional British favorites, with everything homemade. I'd recommend going for the strip-loin beef or chicken supreme with all the trimmings. The service is friendly and the wine selection is surprisingly extensive for a pub this size.

The Rabbits est ce genre de pub britannique authentique qui a gardé son âme malgré sa récente rénovation. L'extérieur conserve ce charme classique, tandis qu'à l'intérieur vous trouverez une atmosphère chaleureuse et accueillante avec des sièges confortables et trois grandes cheminées qui sont parfaites pour les soirées d'hiver.
