The Hogarth has successfully transformed itself from a traditional sports pub into something rather special without alienating its local base. The refurbishment has given it contemporary good looks while keeping that welcoming pub atmosphere intact. What really sets it apart is the Thai food operation - Chef Pat's Lanna Thai Kitchen delivers authentic dishes that you'd expect from a dedicated Thai restaurant, not a pub kitchen. The chicken satay and Pad Thai are particular standouts, and the curries have genuine depth of flavour.
The bar itself is well-stocked with Fuller's award-winning ales, which is music to any cask connoisseur's ears. It's a proper pub through and through - family-friendly, dogs welcome, with a decent garden for sunny afternoons. The place gets particularly lively on match days when the rugby crowd from nearby Twickenham makes it their pre-game meeting point. Service is generally friendly and efficient, though it can get a bit chaotic when it's packed. It's not trying to be anything other than a good local, and that's exactly what makes it work.

The Hogarth a réussi sa transformation d'un pub sportif traditionnel en quelque chose de vraiment spécial, sans pour autant perdre son âme de quartier. La rénovation lui a donné un look contemporain tout en préservant cette atmosphère chaleureuse typique des pubs. Ce qui le distingue vraiment, c'est la cuisine thaïlandaise - le restaurant Lanna Thai Kitchen du chef Pat propose des plats authentiques qu'on s'attendrait à trouver dans un restaurant thaï dédié, pas dans la cuisine d'un pub. Les brochettes de poulet satay et le Pad Thai sont particulièrement réussis, et les currys ont une profondeur de saveur authentique.
Le bar est bien approvisionné en bières Fuller's primées, ce qui ravira les amateurs de bières en fût. C'est un vrai pub dans tous les sens du terme - convivial pour les familles, les chiens sont les bienvenus, avec un joli jardin pour les après-midis ensoleillés.
