A proper local pub with great Sunday roasts
The Grange is exactly the kind of pub you hope to find when you move to a new area – unpretentious, friendly, and consistently good. The Victorian architecture gives it character, but it’s the warmth of the staff and the quality of the food that keep you coming back. I’ve had a few Sunday roasts here, and they’re always generous and well-executed, especially the roast beef with all the trimmings. The beer selection is solid, with a good range of cask ales that change regularly, so there’s always something new to try.
It’s not the fanciest place in Ealing, but that’s part of its charm. You won’t find molecular gastronomy here, just honest, well-prepared food and a relaxed atmosphere. The garden is a nice bonus in summer, and the private rooms make it a decent option for small gatherings. It’s the kind of spot where you can sit for hours without feeling rushed, and the staff treat you like a regular even on your first visit.

Le Grange est exactement le genre de pub qu’on espère trouver quand on s’installe dans un nouveau quartier : sans prétention, accueillant et constamment bon. L’architecture victorienne lui donne du caractère, mais c’est la chaleur du personnel et la qualité de la cuisine qui vous font revenir. J’y ai pris plusieurs dimanches roasts, et ils sont toujours généreux et bien exécutés, surtout le roast beef avec toutes les garnitures. La sélection de bières est solide, avec un bon choix de bières en fût qui changent régulièrement, donc il y a toujours quelque chose de nouveau à tester.
Ce n’est pas l’endroit le plus chic d’Ealing, mais c’est tout à fait son charme. Vous n’y trouverez pas de gastronomie moléculaire, juste une cuisine honnête et bien préparée dans une ambiance détendue. Le jardin est un plus agréable en été, et les salles privées en font un bon choix pour de petites réunions. C’est le genre d’endroit où vous pouvez rester des heures sans vous sentir pressé, et le personnel vous traite comme un habitué même lors de votre première visite.
