L'ambiance

The Grafton has been reborn under new ownership, bringing the same warm, welcoming spirit from their other North London favorites. This historic pub (dating back to 1866) now serves as a true neighborhood hub with its legendary quiz nights, Taco Tuesdays with £2.50 tacos, and a solid soup & sandwich deal for lunch. The kitchen residency with Fervent adds creative Canam Highway gastro fare, while 29 beer taps and signature cocktails like the Hot Honey Picante keep the drinks scene interesting. It's the kind of place where locals gather for Sunday roasts and weeknight drinks without pretension. The vibe is genuinely friendly and unpretentious—think exposed brick, a cozy fireplace, and a terrace that's perfect for summer evenings. You'll find regulars who've been coming for years, families during lunch, and groups spilling over during quiz night. The service strikes that perfect balance between efficient and friendly, making you feel like you belong here. Rating: 4/5 - Solid neighborhood pub with great regulars programming and good food, though it can get quite busy on weekends.

My Kentish Town Neighborhood Pub

The Grafton has become my go-to neighborhood pub in Kentish Town since the new ownership took over. What struck me immediately was how welcoming the atmosphere is—you'll find a real mix of locals, from families during lunch to groups packing the place on quiz nights. The Taco Tuesdays are genuinely good value at £2.50 per taco, and the soup & sandwich deal is perfect for a quick lunch. The Hot Honey Picante cocktail is my regular order—spicy, sweet, and perfectly balanced.

The quiz night on Sundays is legendary; arrive early if you want a good spot. The kitchen residency with Fervent brings some creative touches to the menu, though the pub grub classics are solid when you just want something reliable. Beer selection is strong with 29 taps rotating weekly, covering everything from lagers to sour ales. The terrace is lovely in summer, and the fireplace area makes it cozy in winter.

It's not fancy, and that's exactly why I love it. The service is friendly without being overbearing, and you can tell the staff genuinely care about regulars. It's become the kind of place where you feel like you belong, which is rare these days.
