The Dublin Castle isn't just a pub—it's a piece of Camden's musical DNA. Walk in and you're immediately hit with the shabby-chic interior: strong red walls, dim wooden fixtures, and posters of the countless bands who've passed through these doors. The front bar feels like any old country pub, but push through to the back and you're in the belly of a legendary live music venue.
What makes this place special is the intimacy. With a capacity of just 200, you're practically on stage with the band. It's sweaty, it's loud, and it's absolutely brilliant. The crowd is a mix of North London regulars, music industry types, and tourists who've heard the name. Drinks are reasonably priced (especially with the pre-6pm discount), and the beer selection includes local Camden brews.
This is where Blur played early gigs, where Coldplay debuted under their own name, and where Amy Winehouse was a regular. The landlord Alo Conlon, who passed away in 2009, had an instinct for talent that made this place a must-visit for A&R scouts. Even if you don't catch a famous act, the live music happens almost every night, and the atmosphere is consistently electric. Skip it if you want a quiet drink or fancy cocktails, but if you're after a proper rock and roll night out, this is it.

Ce qui rend ce lieu spécial, c'est son intimité. Avec une capacité de seulement 200 personnes, vous êtes pratiquement sur scène avec le groupe. C'est chaud, c'est bruyant, et c'est absolument fantastique. La clientèle est un mélange de habitués du nord de Londres, de professionnels de la musique et de touristes qui ont entendu parler du nom.
