The Crazy Circle
“Matches your preference for quiet, immersive environments. This venue's atmosphere aligns with your saved favorites.”
L'ambiance
The Crazy Circle is Brussels' only permanent lesbian bar, a warm and welcoming safe space in Ixelles that's become a cornerstone of the local LGBTQI+ community. Co-founded by Laïla and Axelle in 2019, this feminist bar transformed from a former rum bar into a vibrant hub for queer women, non-binary folks, and their allies. You'll find affordable drinks, weekly Femme Jam concerts featuring 100% female artists, DJ nights, karaoke, and a cozy atmosphere that feels more like hanging out at a friend's place than a typical bar. The venue hosts a rotating calendar of events from cabaret to exhibitions, and they're known for collaborating with local LGBTQI+ associations like Rainbowhouse and L-Tour. It's the kind of place where you can grab a reasonably priced beer or cocktail, play board games, or catch a live performance—all while feeling genuinely seen and celebrated.

Brussels' Only Permanent Lesbian Bar
The Crazy Circle fills a very real gap in Brussels' nightlife scene—it's the only permanent lesbian bar in the city, and that alone makes it worth seeking out. Located on Rue du Prince Royal in Ixelles, this small but mighty venue has cultivated a genuinely welcoming atmosphere since Laïla and Axelle took over in 2019. The space feels intimate and unpretentious, with a bar setup that encourages lingering over a drink rather than rushing through the night.
What sets this place apart is the programming. The weekly Femme Jam is Brussels' only all-female music jam, and it's become something of a local institution. The bar also hosts DJ nights, karaoke, cabaret shows, and art exhibitions, making it a true community hub rather than just another drinking spot. Drinks are priced reasonably for the neighborhood, and the staff clearly care about creating a safe, inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong.
If you're part of the LGBTQI+ community or an ally looking for a place that's authentically queer without being performative, this is your spot. It's not flashy or trendy—it's just real, warm, and consistently good at what it does.
