The Cat's Back is that kind of local pub you actually want to visit—it's got a modern feel without losing the cozy pub charm. The staff are genuinely friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding after work or catching up with mates. I'm particularly fond of their themed Wednesday nights; the all-you-can-eat wings are a steal, and the Aussie Parma on the second Wednesday is a must-try for anyone who loves Aussie-inspired food.
The Sunday roast is solid too—properly cooked meat, fluffy mash, and all the trimmings. The garden is a nice touch, especially since it's partially covered, so you can still sit outside even if the British weather decides to be unpredictable. If you're planning a private event, the Lion's Den is a great option—it's intimate and well-equipped, though it does book up quickly.

Le Cat's Back est ce genre de pub local qu'on a envie de fréquenter : moderne sans perdre le charme cozy d'un vrai pub. Le personnel est vraiment sympathique, et l'ambiance est parfaite pour se détendre après le travail ou pour discuter entre amis. Je suis particulièrement fan de leurs soirs de soirée à thème le mercredi ; les ailes à volonté sont une affaire, et le Parma australien du deuxième mercredi est un must pour tous les amateurs de cuisine australienne.
Le roast du dimanche est également correct : viande bien cuite, purée fluffy et tous les accompagnements. Le jardin est un bon ajout, surtout car il est partiellement couvert, donc on peut toujours s'asseoir dehors même si la météo britannique décide d'être imprévisible. Si vous organisez un événement privé, le Lion's Den est une excellente option : intime et bien équipé, même s'il se réserve rapidement.
Un point à noter : la cuisine ferme tôt le dimanche, donc si vous prévoyez une visite tardive le dimanche, il vaut mieux prendre une table avant 15h.
