The Althorp is one of those rare locals that actually lives up to the hype. Situated right opposite Wandsworth Common, it's the kind of place where you can pop in for a quick pint on your way home from a walk, or settle in for a proper meal. The food is solid pub fare—think hearty burgers, fish and chips, and their famous Sunday roast, which is genuinely one of the better ones in South London. The drinks list is decent too, with local ales from Sambrook's and Mondo alongside a good wine selection.
The space itself has been tastefully done up without losing that pub feel. There's a bar area for casual drinks, a dining room for meals, and a snug for more intimate gatherings. If you're here for a big match, they've got TNT and Sky Sports covered. Service can be a bit hit-or-miss on busy weekends, but overall it's a reliable spot that's earned its place as a community staple. The terrace overlooking the Common is perfect on sunny days.

Situé juste en face de Wandsworth Common, c'est l'endroit idéal pour un verre rapide après une promenade ou pour un bon repas. La cuisine est authentique : burgers généreux, fish and chips, et surtout leur célèbre roast du dimanche, l'un des meilleurs du sud de Londres. La carte des boissons est solide, avec des bières locales de Sambrook's et Mondo, ainsi qu'une belle sélection de vins.
