Teatro Hall is one of those places that manages to be both a proper restaurant and a destination bar, and that's no small feat. The building itself—a renovated 1930s cinema—is absolutely gorgeous, with those towering windows and crystal chandeliers making every meal feel like an event. You'll find the food solid if not groundbreaking: the coal-fired pizzas are genuinely good with a proper char and crispy crust, and the handmade pasta is a nice touch. The bottomless brunch on weekends is where this place really shines, offering a solid selection of cocktails and fizz that keeps pouring until you're done.
It's not without its flaws, though. On busy Saturday nights, it can get quite loud and crowded, which might not be ideal if you're after a quiet conversation. The service can be hit-or-miss depending on how packed they are, and the prices lean toward the higher end—though you're paying for the venue as much as the food. Teatro Hall est l'un de ces établissements qui réussit à être à la fois un vrai restaurant et une destination bar, ce qui n'est pas si courant. Le bâtiment lui-même, une ancienne cinémathèque des années 1930 entièrement rénovée, est absolument magnifique avec ses grandes baies vitrées et ses lustres en cristal qui transforment chaque repas en véritable événement. On y trouve une cuisine solide sans être révolutionnaire : les pizzas cuites au charbon de bois sont vraiment bonnes avec une croûte bien croustillante et ce léger goût de fumée caractéristique, et les pâtes fraîches sont une belle touche. Le brunch sans limite le week-end est ce qui fait vraiment la force du lieu, avec une sélection correcte de cocktails et de bulles qui ne s'arrêtent pas tant que vous n'avez pas fini.
Ce n'est pas parfait non plus. Les samedis soir bien remplis, l'endroit peut devenir très bruyant et bondé, ce qui n'est pas idéal si vous cherchez une conversation tranquille. Le service peut être inégal selon l'affluence, et les tarifs penchent vers le haut de la fourchette—même si vous payez autant pour le lieu que pour la nourriture.
