Tapelia is one of those West Ealing spots that locals keep to themselves, though it's slowly getting the attention it deserves. The moment you walk in, you're hit with that warm, welcoming Spanish hospitality that's hard to find outside of a proper tapas bar in Madrid. The decor is simple but effective—cosy and intimate without feeling cramped.

Dès l'entrée, on est accueilli par cette chaleur espagnole authentique qu'on ne trouve pas souvent à Londres en dehors d'un vrai bar à tapas à Madrid. La décoration est simple mais efficace, cosy et intime sans être exiguë.
La cuisine est ce qui fait vraiment la force de Tapelia. La paella est toujours excellente, fraîche, pas sèche et pleine de saveurs. Le pulpo (poulpe) est un régal, tendre et parfaitement cuit, ce qui est rare à Londres où il est souvent frit jusqu'à devenir caoutchouteux. Les côtelettes d'agneau sont aussi à ne pas manquer, savoureuses et généreuses. Le service est amical et attentif sans être envahissant, et la carte des vins est bien choisie avec de belles options espagnoles.
Ce n'est pas une expérience avec nappe blanche et chandeliers, mais c'est exactement là tout l'intérêt.
