Right at the foot of Montmartre with Sacré-Cœur practically in your lap, Sweet Rawmance was Paris's first raw vegan patisserie and tea salon when it opened in 2016. Everything is 100% vegan and gluten-free — from raw cakes and chia puddings to weekend brunch plates and savory lunch bowls. The view alone is worth the climb, but the sugar-free raw desserts are what keep people coming back.

Raw vegan cakes with a Sacré-Cœur view
Sweet Rawmance sits on Place Saint-Pierre, literally across from the steps of Sacré-Cœur, and that location is both its biggest draw and its curse — you'll be fighting tourists for a table on weekends. But once you're in, it's a lovely little oasis. The concept is bold: Paris's first raw vegan patisserie, everything gluten-free and refined sugar-free, and for the most part it delivers. The raw cakes are genuinely impressive — dense, flavorful, and not at all the sad "health food" desserts you might expect. The chia puddings and raw chocolates are also worth trying.
For lunch, they offer both raw and cooked vegan options, including raw pizzas, veggie bowls, and veloutés. The weekend brunch is popular — expect a wait, but the view of Sacré-Cœur from the terrace makes it feel worthwhile. Prices are reasonable for the area (most dishes €2–17), and the staff are friendly even when it's packed. A few reviewers have had misses with some of the savory "meat substitute" dishes — the vegan "poulet moutarde" drew a disappointed review — so stick to what they do best: the raw desserts and the simpler bowls.
This isn't a place for everyone, and if you're not into the vegan/raw thing, you might find it underwhelming. But for what it is — a health-conscious café with a spectacular view and genuinely good raw patisserie — it earns its spot. Go on a weekday morning if you can, grab a table near the window, and order a slice of raw cake with a specialty tea. That's the Sweet Rawmance experience at its best.
