Slakthuset is the kind of place that makes you wonder why Stockholm's nightlife scene isn't talked about more. Located in a converted slaughterhouse in Johanneshov, it's a bit of a trek from the city center, but that's half the charm—you're going somewhere real, not a tourist trap. The space is massive, with three different rooms each playing their own vibe, so you can hop between techno, house, or whatever the resident DJ is spinning without feeling stuck in one sound.
The drinks are reasonably priced for Stockholm standards, which is rare these days. The crowd is a mix of locals who know the scene and tourists who found their way here (thank you, Instagram). It's not fancy—expect concrete floors, industrial lighting, and a sound system that actually hits—but that's exactly what makes it work. If you're looking for a place where the music comes first and the pretense comes second, this is it.
Just be prepared: it gets crowded, the bathrooms are basic, and if you're not into loud music, you'll want to stay on the periphery. But for a proper clubbing experience that doesn't feel like a VIP package, Slakthuset delivers.

Slakthuset, c'est le genre d'endroit qui vous fait regretter de ne pas avoir visité Stockholm plus tôt. Installé dans un ancien abattoir transformé à Johanneshov, il faut un peu de temps pour s'y rendre depuis le centre-ville, mais c'est une petite aventure qui en vaut la peine. L'espace est immense, avec trois salles différentes jouant chacune leur propre ambiance, vous permettant de passer du techno à la house ou à autre chose sans vous sentir enfermé dans un seul univers sonore.
Les boissons sont abordables pour les standards de Stockholm, ce qui est rare ces derniers temps. La foule est un mélange de locaux qui connaissent bien la scène et de touristes qui y sont parvenus (merci Instagram). Ce n'est pas luxueux—comptez sur des sols en béton, un éclairage industriel et un système sonore qui fait vraiment vibrer—mais c'est exactement ce qui fonctionne ici. Si vous cherchez un endroit où la musique prime et le côté prétentieux passe après, c'est l'endroit idéal.
Préparez-vous cependant : il y a du monde, les toilettes sont basiques et si vous n'aimez pas la musique forte, vous devrez rester en périphérie. Mais pour une vraie expérience de clubbing qui ne ressemble pas à un forfait VIP, Slakthuset fait le job.
