The Reuben sandwich is genuinely exceptional—sourdough bread, salted brisket, melted cheese, sauerkraut that rivals Günthers, and a Russian dressing that hits all the right notes without overwhelming. Schmaltz est une pépite à Östermalm, un petit traiteur-bar au charme authentique qui en fait voir de toutes les couleurs. Le Reuben est tout simplement excellent—pain au levain, poitrine de bœuf salée, fromage fondu, choucroute qui rivalise avec Günthers, et une sauce Russian qui atteint tous les bons points sans être écrasante. J'ai aussi goûté leur soupe au poulet un jour de pluie, réconfortante et chaleureuse avec un bouillon clair et du poulet tendre, même si j'aurais aimé un peu plus de sel. Le Bloody Mary est un autre point fort—sans aucun doute le meilleur que j'ai bu à Stockholm, parfaitement équilibré et épicé.
