L'ambiance

Tucked away on a quiet stretch of King Street, Potli is Hammersmith’s secret weapon for authentic Indian market food. Since 2011, this unpretentious spot has been winning over locals with its bold flavors, vibrant decor, and generous portions. Skip the fancy curry houses up the road and come here for the real deal—think spicy street-style snacks, hearty plant-based platters, and curries that pack a punch without breaking the bank.

Hammersmith’s Authentic Indian Market Kitchen

Potli has been my go-to for a satisfying Indian meal in West London for years. The menu is a celebration of regional Indian market food, with plenty of options for vegetarians and spice lovers alike. You’ll find everything from crispy samosas and tangy chutneys to rich, slow-cooked curries and vibrant lentil dishes. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the staff are always cheerful and quick to recommend something new. It’s not the fanciest spot in town, but that’s exactly what makes it special—it’s where locals actually eat.
