Solid neighborhood café with great coffee
Café Pascal has earned its reputation in Vasastaden for a reason: the coffee is genuinely excellent and the pastries are baked fresh every morning. I'm a regular at the Norrtullsgatan location, and while the space is small and can get crowded during morning rush, that's part of the charm—it's clearly a neighborhood institution rather than a tourist trap. The pistachio croissant is a must-try; it's buttery, not too sweet, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients.
What I appreciate most is that they take their craft seriously without being pretentious. You'll find locals working laptops, students studying, and neighbors catching up over coffee. The staff knows their stuff when it comes to brewing, and the menu focuses on doing a few things really well rather than offering an overwhelming selection. It's the kind of place that feels like it belongs to the neighborhood, which in Stockholm is saying something.

Je suis un habitué de l'emplacement de Norrtullsgatan, et même si l'espace est petit et peut devenir bondé aux heures de pointe du matin, c'est partie intégrante du charme—c'est clairement une institution de quartier plutôt qu'une attraction touristique. Le croissant au pistache est incontournable : beurré, pas trop sucré, on sent la qualité des ingrédients.
Ce que j'apprécie le plus, c'est qu'ils prennent leur métier au sérieux sans être prétentieux.
