“Matches your preference for quiet, immersive environments. This venue's atmosphere aligns with your saved favorites.”
L'ambiance
This isn't your average Westminster pub—it's a full-on Bavarian beer hall that somehow feels right at home on Abbey Orchard Street. You'll find yourself shoulder-to-shoulder with locals and tourists alike, all raising steins to the sound of an Oompah band on Thursday and Saturday nights. The communal tables and 50L kegs of imported Munich beer mean you're here to stay awhile and make new friends. The food is straightforward Bavarian comfort: schnitzel, sausages, pretzels, and that legendary pork knuckle. It's not fine dining, but it's exactly what you want when you're in the mood for hearty, shareable fare with your beer. The bottomless fondue brunch on weekends is a brilliant idea if you're looking for something different—and filling. Just know what you're getting into: loud, lively, and very much a group experience. If you're after quiet conversation or a romantic corner table, this isn't it. But if you want to feel like you've been transported to Munich for an afternoon (or evening) of proper beer hall fun, you've found your spot.

Authentic Bavarian beer hall fun in Westminster
Munich Cricket Club in Victoria is a proper German beer hall experience in the heart of Westminster. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a Bavian Bierkeller—loud, cheerful, and packed with people raising steins to the sound of Oompah music. The communal tables mean you'll likely end up chatting with strangers, which is half the fun. The beer selection is impressive, with multiple Munich varieties on draught and in bottles, and the 50L kegs are perfect for large groups who want to pour their own.
The food is solid, no-nonsense Bavarian fare. The schnitzel is generous, the sausages are well-made, and the pork knuckle is a showstopper if you're feeling adventurous. The bottomless fondue brunch on weekends is a clever twist that draws crowds, and the Sausage Tuesday and Munich Monday deals are great value if you're looking to make a night of it. It's not a place for quiet dining, but if you want to let loose and enjoy some proper German hospitality, you won't be disappointed.
The only real downside is that it can get very crowded, especially on band nights, so booking ahead is essential. Also, the 18+ policy on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings means it's not suitable for families during peak times. But for groups looking for a fun, authentic beer hall experience without leaving London, this is as close as you'll get to Munich.
