Le Morden Arms, c'est le genre de pub de quartier qu'on garde précieusement pour soi. Pas de fric-frac, pas de prétention, juste une ambiance chaleureuse et une bonne bière tirée. Situé dans une rue discrète de Greenwich, il faut savoir le trouver pour y accéder. Une fois à l'intérieur, on se retrouve dans une pièce unique qui donne l'impression d'être dans le salon de quelqu'un, avec des meubles hétéroclites et un bar dans un coin.
Ce qui fait vraiment le charme de l'endroit, c'est la musique live, surtout le week-end. J'y ai assisté à d'agréables séances de chants en journée, et l'esprit communautaire est évident. Attention, ce n'est pas un pub de luxe : la signalétique est minimaliste, l'espace est compact, et le choix de bières au fût reste limité. Mais si vous cherchez de l'authenticité plutôt que du standing, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut.
