“Matches your preference for quiet, immersive environments. This venue's atmosphere aligns with your saved favorites.”
L'ambiance
MOme is the neighborhood bistro we've been waiting for in Ixelles. Owners Raffy Vranckx and Emma Wayet have left their fancy restaurant pasts behind to create something genuinely cozy and fun, with Vichy tablecloths and a kitchen that punches well above its weight. The lunch formula is a steal at €27-32, but the real magic happens at dinner when they serve dishes like the raw seriola on barbecued beetroot cream or the grilled beef with house fries. It's the kind of place where you'll find yourself coming back for the kombucha and the vibe as much as the food.

The neighborhood bistro we needed
MOme feels like the neighborhood bistro Brussels has been missing. Located on Rue Veydt in Ixelles, it's run by Raffy Vranckx and Emma Wayet, who've traded their high-end restaurant backgrounds for something more approachable and fun. The space has that perfect bistro vibe with Vichy tablecloths and warm lighting that makes you want to linger over your meal.
The food is where MOme really shines. Their lunch formula is an absolute bargain at €27-32, featuring dishes like the punchy mackerel toast with black garlic mayo or the black chicken croquettes with buckwheat. At dinner, they step up their game with standout plates like the raw seriola served on barbecued beetroot cream, or the nostalkif grilled beef with house fries. The wine list could use some expansion, but the kombucha and natural wines they do offer are interesting choices.
It's become my go-to for a relaxed meal in Ixelles. The service is friendly, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair for the quality. It's not trying to be fancy—it's just trying to be good, and it succeeds.
