This place hits the spot if you’re looking for a no-frills food court with actual character. The setting alone is worth it – you’re eating in what used to be a factory, right on the Douro, so the river views are a nice bonus. The food is genuinely good for the price point, especially the seafood counter where you can grab fresh fish or shellfish. Don’t skip the Portuguese tripe if you’re feeling adventurous; it’s done properly here, not the sad version you get elsewhere.
It gets busy around lunch and early evening, which is a good sign. The atmosphere is lively without being chaotic, and you’ve got options ranging from traditional Portuguese to Italian and even some vegan stuff. L’endroit en lui-même vaut le détour – on mange dans un ancien bâtiment industriel, juste au bord du Douro, avec une vue agréable sur le fleuve. La nourriture est vraiment bonne pour le prix, surtout le comptoir de poissons où vous pouvez commander du poisson frais ou des coquillages. Ne ratez pas la trippe à la mode de Porto si vous êtes curieux ; elle est préparée correctement ici, pas comme ces versions décevantes qu’on trouve ailleurs.
