L'ambiance
Jeanjean is Saint-Ouen’s answer to a proper Parisian bistro—bright, brick-walled, and run by Jean His, who left Terra to bring his market-driven cooking to the Seine-Saint-Denis. The open kitchen lets you watch the action while you sip from a well-curated wine list and nibble on seasonal tapas or dive into a generous main course. It’s one of the few spots in the area where the quality-to-price ratio actually shines, even if the lunch menu could use a bit more variety.

A bright, honest bistro with seasonal flair
Jeanjean feels like a breath of fresh air in Saint-Ouen—a modern bistro with white brick walls, a wooden counter, and an open kitchen where chef Jean His cooks with seasonal produce. The food is solid and generous, with a focus on quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. You’ll find yourself coming back for the tapas-style sharing plates or the seasonal mains, all paired with an interesting selection of natural wines. It’s not fancy, but it’s honest, friendly, and one of the better dining options in the area—especially if you’re looking for something that feels more Paris 11th arrondissement than banlieue.
