Stockholm's Jazz Heart

Fasching is Stockholm's jazz institution, and if you're into live music, this place is non-negotiable. The venue packs in about 360 people, but it never feels cramped—there's a good view of the stage from anywhere you sit. What really sets it apart is the programming: you'll catch everything from established international artists to rising Swedish talent, and the Monday jam sessions are legendary for bringing up-and-coming musicians onto the stage for free.

The staff are attentive without being intrusive, and the drink prices are surprisingly reasonable for a club in central Stockholm. The only quibble is the age restrictions on certain nights—23+ on Fridays and 20+ on Saturdays—but that just adds to the late-night vibe. If you're visiting Stockholm and want to experience real Swedish jazz culture rather than a tourist trap, Fasching delivers every time.
