The space itself is impressive—spacious without feeling empty, with those beautifully restored original features that give it real character. You won't find the stuffy atmosphere of some of the more touristy spots nearby; instead, you'll see a mix of regulars and visitors who know they're in for a genuine experience.
The wine list is thoughtfully curated without being intimidating, and the modern British menu offers solid choices that pair well with whatever you choose to drink. I particularly appreciate that they're genuinely family-friendly—my kids have been here multiple times and the staff genuinely seems to enjoy accommodating them. The outdoor terrace is a real bonus when the weather holds, making it one of the few spots in the area where you can enjoy al fresco dining without the crowds.

L'intérieur est spacieux et plein de caractère, avec des éléments d'origine soigneusement restaurés qui lui donnent une vraie personnalité. Vous n'y trouverez pas l'atmosphère guindée de certains établissements plus touristiques dans le coin, mais plutôt un mélange de clients réguliers et de visiteurs qui savent qu'ils vont vivre une expérience authentique.
La carte des vins est bien pensée sans être intimidante, et le menu moderne britannique propose des choix solides qui s'accordent parfaitement avec ce que vous choisissez de boire. J'apprécie particulièrement qu'ils soient vraiment familiaux - mes enfants y sont venus à plusieurs reprises et le personnel semble vraiment apprécier de les accueillir.
