Solid City brunch with great coffee
Caravan City has successfully translated the Exmouth Market vibe into the City of London, and honestly, it works. The space feels authentically urban-industrial without trying too hard, and the coffee is genuinely excellent—some of the best small-batch roasting you'll find in the area. The menu changes with the seasons, which keeps things interesting; the paprika and spring onion waffles are a standout brunch item, and the jamon croquettes with saffron mayo are a smart starter that shows they're thinking beyond just brunch fare.
The service can be hit or miss, especially during peak hours when the dining room gets packed. I've had both quick, friendly service and been left waiting for a simple tea order while others were served. The prices are reasonable for the City, and the wine list offers some decent Old World options at fair prices. It's not perfect, but it's a solid choice when you want quality food and coffee without the pretension of some of the fancier spots around Bloomberg Arcade.

Caravan City a réussi à transposer l'ambiance d'Exmouth Market au cœur de la City, et franchement, ça fonctionne. L'espace dégage cette esthétique urbaine et industrielle authentique sans forcer sur l'effet, et le café est vraiment excellent—certainement parmi les meilleures torréfactions artisanales du quartier. La carte change selon les saisons, ce qui garde les choses intéressantes ; les gaufres au paprika et aux ciboulettes sont un incontournable du brunch, et les croquettes au jambon avec mayonnaise au safran sont une entrée intelligente qui montre qu'ils vont au-delà du simple brunch.
Le service peut être irrégulier, surtout pendant les heures de pointe quand la salle est bondée. J'ai eu à la fois un service rapide et amical et attendu longtemps pour un simple thé pendant que d'autres étaient servis.
