A Modern Bistro with Soul

Cabrio has quietly become one of Budapest's most beloved bistro experiences, and it's easy to see why. The menu changes weekly based on what's fresh and local, which keeps things exciting for repeat visitors. I'm particularly fond of their small-plate approach—it's perfect for sharing and trying a variety of flavors. The roasted carrots with mint honey and the burnt celery with walnut vinaigrette are standout dishes that showcase the kitchen's attention to detail and respect for ingredients.

The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between relaxed and refined. The candlelit interior, with its blend of modern and nostalgic touches, creates an intimate setting that works equally well for a romantic dinner or a lively catch-up with friends. The staff are knowledgeable about the natural wine list and make great recommendations without being pretentious. It's not the flashiest spot in Budapest, but it's one of the most consistently enjoyable.
