Brunswick House is one of those rare places in Vauxhall that actually feels like a destination rather than a pit stop. The setting alone is worth the trip—sitting in an 18th-century mansion with copper pans gleaming in the windows and chandeliers hanging overhead makes you forget you're at a busy roundabout. Jackson Boxer's cooking has that effortless quality that takes years to master; the pumpkin dish with pear and radish is a perfect example of how simple ingredients can become something special when handled with care.
The service can be a bit slow during peak times, and portions are on the smaller side, but the overall experience more than makes up for it. The Black Duke cellar bar is a great spot for pre-dinner drinks with live blues on Tuesdays, and the outdoor terrace is lovely in summer. It's not the most budget-friendly option, but for a special night out in South London, it's hard to beat.

Brunswick House est l'un de ces endroits rares à Vauxhall qui semble vraiment être une destination et non une simple étape.
