L'ambiance
Brasserie du Moulin is your go-to neighborhood brasserie in Issy-les-Moulineaux where locals actually go for good food without the tourist trap vibes. The spot shines during happy hour (4pm-10pm) when you can grab a 5€ beer or 6€ spritz while sharing generous plates like the charcuterie board or diving into their house-made couscous royal. It's that rare place where the staff genuinely seems to enjoy what they do, serving up classic French comfort food like boeuf bourguignon and confit de canard at prices that won't make you wince. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between a proper brasserie and a friendly neighborhood joint – you'll find yourself drawn to the terrace on nice days or staying in for the lively after-work crowd. What sets this place apart is the genuine warmth of the team and the fact that they actually cater to groups without making you feel like just another reservation number.

Solid neighborhood brasserie with great happy hour
Brasserie du Moulin is exactly the kind of neighborhood brasserie that makes you feel like you've discovered a local secret. Located on Rue Marcel Miquel, this place has that authentic French brasserie vibe without the pretension you'd expect in a tourist-heavy area. The happy hour is genuinely worth planning around – 5€ beers and 6€ spritzes from 4pm to 10pm make it perfect for unwinding after work or starting an evening with friends.
The food is solid comfort French cuisine that doesn't try too hard. The couscous royal (20€) is a standout – generous portions with merguez, chicken, and beef that feel like home cooking. The charcuterie and cheese boards (both 17€) are perfect for sharing, and the boeuf bourguignon at 15.9€ is the kind of dish that makes you want to order seconds. Service is friendly and the staff clearly takes pride in what they do, which you can tell makes a real difference to the experience.
It's not fancy, but that's exactly what makes it special. The terrace is great in good weather, and the space works well for groups of all sizes. You'll find yourself coming back for the reliable food, reasonable prices, and the fact that it feels like a real neighborhood spot rather than a place designed for Instagram.
