Boot Café is one of those tiny spots in Le Marais that feels like a secret, even though it's been around for a while. Housed in what used to be a cobbler's workshop, the café is barely bigger than a closet, but it makes up for it with charm. The blue storefront is iconic, and stepping inside, you're greeted by white tiles, vintage furniture, and a stack of old magazines that are surprisingly fun to flip through.
The coffee is excellent—sourced from La Cabra, one of the best specialty roasters in Europe. Whether you go for an espresso or a cappuccino, you won't be disappointed. The space is so small that seating is limited, so don't expect to linger for hours unless you're lucky enough to snag a spot. Most people grab their coffee to go, which is fine by me; the takeaway service is friendly and efficient. Boot Café est l'un de ces petits endroits du Marais qui a l'air d'un secret, même s'il existe depuis un moment. Installé dans ce qui était autrefois un atelier de cordonnier, le café à peine plus grand qu'un placard compense son exiguïté par son charme. La façade bleue est emblématique, et en pénétrant à l'intérieur, on découvre des carreaux blancs, des meubles vintage et une pile de vieux magazines qu'il fait plaisir à feuilleter.
Le café est excellent, provenant de La Cabra, l'un des meilleurs torréfacteurs spécialisés d'Europe. Que vous optiez pour un espresso ou un cappuccino, vous ne serez pas déçu. L'espace est si restreint que les places sont limitées ; ne vous attendez pas à pouvoir traîner pendant des heures, sauf si vous avez la chance de vous asseoir. La plupart des gens prennent leur café à emporter, ce qui ne me dérange pas du tout : le service est amical et efficace. Ce n'est pas l'endroit idéal pour un long brunch ou pour travailler, mais c'est parfait pour une petite dose de caféine dans un cadre typiquement parisien.
Si vous êtes dans le quartier, c'est une halte qui vaut le coup rien que pour l'ambiance.
