Bongo Bar punches well above its weight for authentic Ghanaian cuisine in Seven Sisters. The suya is genuinely exceptional—spicy, smoky, and perfectly spiced, easily rivaling places twice the size. You'll also want to dive into the jollof rice with plantains and turkey tails, which are cooked with that home-style care you don't always find in city restaurants. The Afrobeat soundtrack keeps things energetic, and the staff, especially Irene, bring a warmth that makes you feel like you're eating at a friend's place.
It's not perfect, though. The dining area is compact and ventilation could be better, which means it can get a bit stuffy when it's busy. Service is friendly but can be a bit disorganized during peak hours. That said, the food quality and the genuine Ghanaian experience more than make up for these minor hiccups.
