Chef Natalini’s Open-Kitchen Masterpiece

Autem* is the kind of place that reminds you why you fell in love with fine dining in the first place. Chef Luca Natalini’s open-kitchen setup means you’re part of the action from the moment you walk in—he’s constantly moving between prep and table, explaining dishes with genuine passion. The tasting menu is a masterclass in restraint and creativity: think duck plin wrapped in pasta dough with tomato seeds, or milk-fed lamb finished with bitter herbs and chanterelles. Nothing feels forced; everything has a reason to be there.

The space itself is elegant without being stuffy—soft lighting, comfortable seating, and just enough intimacy to make conversation easy. Service is attentive but never intrusive, and the wine pairings are spot-on. Yes, it’s pricey, but you’re paying for ingredients that are clearly selected with care and a chef who’s not afraid to take risks. This isn’t a place to rush through dinner; it’s one of those rare spots where you can lose track of time and still feel like you’ve earned every bite.
