Organico in Loughton was the go-to spot for anyone craving serious organic eats and a genuinely friendly vibe. You’d walk in to find shelves stocked with everything from local produce to an impressive range of vegan cheeses and chocolates, plus fresh coffee and smoothies to kickstart your day. It was the kind of place where locals chatted with the staff over their morning brew, and the community feel was palpable. Sadly, it closed in November 2024, leaving a noticeable gap in the High Road’s food scene.
A Local Favorite That Missed the Mark
Organico was a true neighborhood staple that offered much more than just a quick coffee stop. The shop prided itself on a curated selection of organic and vegan products, including some hard-to-find items like specialty vegan cheeses and chocolates. The staff were always welcoming, making every visit feel personal and relaxed. For those seeking a healthy, wholesome option without the pretension of bigger chains, this was the place to be.
The closure in late 2024 marked the end of an era for the Loughton community. While there are other cafes on the High Road, none quite captured the same blend of health-conscious offerings and warm, local charm. It remains a fond memory for regulars who appreciated its dedication to quality and community.
