1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using City Insiders, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and contributors.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features such as writing reviews, saving favorites, and contributing venues, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Promptly update your account information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

3. User-Generated Content

City Insiders allows you to submit reviews, ratings, venue suggestions, and other content. By submitting content, you:

• Grant City Insiders a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform
• Confirm that you own the content or have the right to share it
• Agree that your content may be moderated, edited for clarity, or removed if it violates these terms
• Understand that reviews may be analyzed by AI tools for quality and spam detection

You retain ownership of your content. The license granted to City Insiders is limited to operating and improving the platform. If you delete your account, your reviews may be retained in anonymized form to preserve venue rating integrity.

4. Venue Data and OpenStreetMap

City Insiders uses venue data sourced from OpenStreetMap (OSM), a collaborative mapping project. This data is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

• Venue information (names, addresses, categories) may originate from OpenStreetMap contributors
• Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors
• Venue details are supplemented and enriched by City Insiders and its community of users
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of venue information

5. Prohibited Conduct

When using City Insiders, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users or venue owners
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation or spam
• Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews for personal gain
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform without permission
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any material that could harm the platform
• Circumvent any security measures or access restrictions

6. Intellectual Property

The City Insiders name, logo, design, and original content are the property of City Insiders. You may not use our branding without written permission. The platform software, excluding open-source components and OSM data, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

City Insiders is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform
• We do not guarantee that venue information is accurate or up to date
• We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of venues listed on the platform
• We are not liable for user-generated content, including reviews and ratings
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the platform in the 12 months preceding the claim

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of City Insiders shall be governed by the laws of France. You agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us before initiating any formal proceedings.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of City Insiders after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
