LEON Fenchurch Street was a reliable stop for anyone working in the Tower Hill area or passing through Fenchurch Street Station. The menu was straightforward—chicken burgers, rice boxes, salads, and those famous waffle fries with vegan cheese that actually tasted good. It wasn’t fancy, but the quality was consistent, and they were one of the few places in the neighborhood that took plant-based options seriously. The space itself was clean and modern, with plenty of seating if you wanted to grab a coffee and work for a bit before your commute.
Unfortunately, the location closed permanently in late 2022, leaving a gap in an area that already struggles for decent lunch options. Locals who frequented it for the vegan breakfast bar or the smoothies are now left with fewer choices nearby. While it wasn’t a destination spot, it served its purpose well: quick, fresh, and ethically made food without the pretense. If you’re passing through Tower Hill and miss the old LEON, you’ll have to head to another branch—but at least the memory of those loaded fries lingers.
