Cavalieri is a historic bar in Sesto San Giovanni that’s seen better days. Once a beloved local institution, it’s now under new management and feels more like a routine stop than a destination. The coffee is decent, the brioches are fine, but nothing really stands out. Still, if you’re in the Marelli area and need a quick caffeine fix or a casual bite, it’ll do the job—just don’t expect magic.
A historic bar with fading charm
Cavalieri has been around for decades, and you can feel its history in the walls. It’s the kind of place where locals used to gather before work or after, but lately, it’s lost some of its charm. The coffee is solid, the pastries are standard, and the service is polite but not particularly warm. If you’re passing through Sesto Marelli and need a quick stop, it’s fine—but don’t make a special trip.
