Authentic Roman Trattoria with Brutal Service
A Casa Mia (also known as Trattoria Da Oio a Casa Mia) is the kind of place that doesn't care about your comfort — it cares about feeding you real Roman food. The interior is a shrine to AS Roma, with jerseys and scarves covering every available surface, and the service is famously brusque. One waiter once told a visibly pregnant customer her baby was coming "sooner" than expected, and she was right. Don't take it personally; that's just how things work here.
The menu is unwritten, and the portions are massive. The gricia is legendary — pasta slicked with rendered guanciale fat, piled high with pecorino and black pepper. It's so rich that ordering it for lunch is basically a commitment to a sedentary afternoon. The offal dishes are also excellent if you're adventurous, and the pollo alla cacciatore is a solid choice for something more traditional. Google reviewers note the service is "rapide et courtois" — once you're in, things move fast.

La Trattoria Da Oio a Casa Mia est ce genre d'endroit qui ne se soucie pas de votre confort, mais de vous servir de la vraie cuisine romaine. L'intérieur ressemble à un sanctuaire dédié à l'AS Roma, avec des maillots et des écharpes recouvrant chaque surface disponible, et le service est notoirement abrupt. Un serveur a même dit à une cliente visiblement enceinte que son bébé arriverait « plus tôt » que prévu, et elle avait raison. Ne le prenez pas personnellement — c'est comme ça ici.
