Vibes was a bright and airy vegan haven on Battersea Park Road that locals loved for its generous portions and friendly service. You'll find everything from fluffy pancakes and cinnamon French toast to hearty Buddha bowls, all at surprisingly good prices. While it's now closed as of May 2025, the memory of its warm atmosphere and solid vegan options remains in the neighborhood.
Bright, friendly vegan spot with solid food
Vibes was the kind of spot locals tucked into their regular rotation—a bright, unpretentious vegan café that didn't try too hard but nailed the basics. The pancakes were consistently fluffy with generous syrup and toppings, and the Buddha bowls felt like actual meals rather than afterthoughts. Staff were genuinely friendly, and you could park right outside for free, which is rare in this part of Battersea. Prices were reasonable too, making it a solid choice for a casual bite without breaking the bank.
That said, it wasn't perfect. Some reviews noted inconsistent service on busy days, and one regular mentioned that their famous raw Snickers shake lost its magic on a second visit. But overall, the food held up well, and the variety of plant-based options—porridge, wraps, smoothies, cakes—meant there was something for everyone. It filled a real gap in the area for decent vegan food that didn't feel like a compromise.
Sadly, it closed in May 2025, leaving a small hole in the local vegan scene. While there are other options in South London, Vibes had that neighborhood café charm that made it feel like a regular part of your routine.
