Solid local pub with great Sunday roasts
The Wych Elm has become a go-to spot for locals in Norbiton who want quality food and drink without the pretension. Their Sunday roast is genuinely excellent - the beef is beautifully cooked and the portion sizes are generous. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their extensive real ale selection, particularly the London Pride which they serve on draught.
The interior strikes a nice balance between traditional pub character and modern comfort. There are real fires for those chilly evenings, and the garden area is a real bonus during warmer months. It's not flashy, but it's got that authentic British pub feel that's becoming increasingly rare. The menu changes regularly to keep things fresh, and the small plates option is great for sharing.
