The Ten Bells
âMatches your preference for quiet, immersive environments. This venue's atmosphere aligns with your saved favorites.â
About the Vibe
Tucked on the corner of Commercial Street and Fournier Street, The Ten Bells is a proper East End institution that somehow manages to feel both historically authentic and delightfully modern. The blue and white tiles from 1900 still line the walls, and that ghostly Victorian gentleman supposedly lurking in the upstairs bar adds a certain spookiness that locals seem to enjoy. It's the kind of place where you'll find hip young Londoners mixing with older regulars, all gathered around the same well-stocked bar serving quality beers and inventive cocktails.

Historic East End institution with serious atmosphere
The Ten Bells is one of those rare London pubs that genuinely feels like it's been part of the community for generations. You walk in and immediately notice the atmospheric candlelight reflecting off those beautiful Victorian tilesâthere's something genuinely special about being in a space that's seen so much history. The bar gets properly busy, especially on weekends, but that's part of the charm; you're not coming here for quiet contemplation, you're here to be part of the buzz.
Their beer selection makes sense given they're part of the London Beer Factory network, and the cocktails are surprisingly well-crafted for a traditional pub. The location right on Commercial Street puts you in the heart of Spitalfields, so you can easily wander over to Brick Lane for food afterwards if you're feeling hungry. Just be prepared for it to be crowdedâthis isn't a place to go if you're looking for a quiet pint.
