Walk in and you're greeted by the smell of proper fish and chips and the sight of a ship's helm filled with wine bottles behind the bar. The interior is packed with maritime memorabilia—portraits of sea voyagers, nautical artifacts, and a captain's conservatory area that gives it character without tipping into theme-park territory.
The food is solid pub fare done right. The fish and chips are the star—vinegary, crispy, served on a wooden block with mushy peas.
