The building has a history, having been a general store and then Wheatlands Furniture Shop before Wetherspoon took over, but don't expect much character beyond the standard chain formula.
You'll find the usual Wetherspoon offerings here: a wide selection of beers including guest ales, a menu of pub classics at budget prices, and a lively atmosphere that can get quite busy during lunch hours and after work.
