The Lamb

The Lamb sits in a quiet spot by a bridge over the Grand Union Canal near Norwood Green, offering a glimpse into what a traditional London pub used to be. The whitewashed exterior leads into a small, single-bar space that retains its character with dark beams and lace curtains, despite some evident alterations over the years. On a recent weekend afternoon visit, the pub was populated by perhaps a dozen regulars watching horse racing on a small TV tucked in the corner. The atmosphere is distinctly local – the kind of place where everyone turns to see who's walked in, though not in an unfriendly way. The bar serves a mix of lager and Guinness, with a solitary hand pump offering Spitfire (despite a confusing London Pride clip). The patio garden leading down to the canal exists but feels neglected and doesn't add much to the experience in its current state.
